New CAOBISCO President and Vice Presidents

At the CAOBISCO General Assembly 2006 in Bled, Slovenia, the Council of Presidents appointed Mr. Malachy McReynolds as President for the period 2006-2008.

Biography: Malachy McReynolds is Managing Director of Elizabeth Shaw Ltd, the manufacturer of fine chocolates. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and held a number of senior financial posts in UK manufacturing companies before joining the confectionery industry in 1989. He was Managing Director of the Irish subsidiary of Finnish owned Leaf Group until 1993, when he moved to a corporate role in Amsterdam. In 1998 he was transferred to Leaf's UK subsidiary, as General Manager.

In March 2000 he led a Management Buyout, acquiring Leaf's UK chocolate interests, subsequently renamed Elizabeth Shaw Ltd., in Bristol in the UK.

At the same meeting Mr. Jacques Ruh stepped down as President and will now occupy the role of Vice-President for a further 2 years.

Biography: Jacques Ruh After studying at the School of Commerce in Strasbourg, Mr. Ruh joined the Mars group (now called Masterfoods) in 1975. He has made his career within this group, occupying different posts: Sales Director, Marketing Director and General Director. Currently Mr. Ruh is Head of the Group’s External Affairs for Western Europe. In addition to his responsibilities within the Mars Group, Mr. Ruh is a Board Member of ANIA (the French National Association of Food Industries) and of IFN (French Nutrition Institute).

Mr Filippo Cerulli Irelli was also elected as Vice President.

Biography: Mr Filippo Cerulli Irelli, He has been working for Barilla since 1987. He worked first as a buyer and then moved to the position of Purchasing Director. Since 2004, he has been located in Germany, as Purchasing Director of the Kamps Group.

CAOBISCO would also like to warmly thank Dr. Dietmar Kendziur, who stepped down as Vice-President, for all his work over the last six years as both President and Vice-President and indeed for his many achievements in these roles.
